We accept school purchase orders. Please observe the following:

• Purchase order must be on school/college/university letterhead.
• You can download an order form here (or use your own PO as in above).
• Billing terms are net 30.
• Clearly indicate both billing and shipping address and any special invoicing instructions.
• Please add shipping and handling charges when calculating totals (see table below).

We make every effort to get your package out the same day the order was received. The earlier in the day we receive the order and the amount of orders we have to process will impact on whether or not your order will go out the same day it was received. At the very least, your order will ship the next day (Sundays not included) and you will receive it within two to three working days from the day it ships.

Check the difficulty ratings accompanying each arrangement on this site. The ratings range from easy to advanced overall and are also rated by individual instrument. Please note that even the easy rating can go into 4th position, therefore none of our works are appropriate for those that are absolute beginners (in their 1st year of study). We will always help you select the most appropriate pieces.

Offering music based on popular music is a clever way of disguising standard issues in technique and tone production within the students "own" culture. We recommend starting students on at least 2 or 3 contrasting works ABOVE their current level of perceived ability. Try:

• "Scarborough Fair/Canticle" (very classical)
• "Stairway To Heaven" (well known and rock)
• "Eleanor Rigby" (changing meters and mid-rock)

or for our easiest starters:

• "Fool On The Hill"
• "If I Fell"
• "Blackbird"

IMPORTANT: Don't minimize the difficulty of this material when comparing to standard repertoire. In numerous ways it is harder.

Programming this material is as much an art form as writing and playing it. If you will be augmenting a standard repertoire performance, may we suggest choosing at least two MLS works that have a strong recognition appeal and contrast one another. Consideration for audience makeup is crucial. Consider the following - do you want to:

• Entice - "Dust In The Wind" is beautiful and soft yet highly recognizable,
• Fool - "Satisfaction" starts out classical and moves into a highly recognizable bass line,
• Blow away - "Heartbreaker" is loud, heavy metal, and virtuosic.

The Hampton String Quartet is available for short or long term instruction in conjunction with Mona Lisa Sound arrangements on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Quartet will work closely with your music department to tailor a program that takes full advantage of the Quartet's particular brand of music and substantial educational background.
